Why no power Sydney?

It was something like 450pm in Sydney and the power went out in my building at work. not cool Sydney.

The lights went out, and everyones work that wasn't on a laptop was lost. so boring. But at least the power is backup sadly the servers are still un-connectable. laaaame.

Its apparently working yet, its 1030...so...it can wait till the morning?

Harry Potter - Half Blood Prince

The new Movie poster for the upcoming Harry Potter movie is up, and doesn't it look interesting? or not...

WTF are they doing? It's a shitty metro station, with Daily Prophet newspapers floating around. And the photo of Harry looks like it was taken from the promo stills of the Azkaban film.

I have no doubt that the movie will be all kinds of sweet as action and witchery, but srsly, they need to lift their game on the promo shots.

Personal Hygiene

I know it, you know it, we allllllll know it, so why are there sooooo many people that just smell? In public? i get that there are some problems that people have, but then you know there are ways and means that you can control that.

So how come the rules change when you get in a cab, or on a train? (and i assume a bus too, but i dont have to take the bus)

I got a cab home tonight, worked back late. The man was nice and all, but hollllllly shit it was just overpowering, the BO that was eminating from the driver, it was a couple of smells past rank.

I felbad, cause he was a really nice guy, but WOAH!

The West Wing - Season 6 - Followup

So i've totally been letting myself down. I'm only just over half away through the season and its been a week...hahah.

Narh, its been insane busy with work and the like, and i think subconsciously i know that soon its all going to be over, and im going to either find a new show (maybe Six Feet Under?) to watch or get on with my live and live a little.

So far I've been quite impressed with the stuff they have come up with on the show, but i really don't like what they've done with Donna. She should still be in the white house dammit! and working with Josh. Josh should still be in teh white house, and Will Bailey should go back to the rock he crawled out behind of, and whats his name should come back.

While it is a couple years on, I do like that Sam was running as a congressional candidate (or was it senate?)meh but in Brothers and Sisters he is running for President. Kinda cute how life comes around a couple of times.

The West Wing - Season 6

I began the first episode of the 6th Season of the West Wing this afternoon - actually it just finished and i'm having mixed feelings. honestly, if they kill Donna oooh, heads may roll haha.

This time, instead of renting the DVDs from my local video store, I decided to buy the whole thing. So I don't have the same time pressures to watch it all. Which is good, but it probably wont effect my watching it in less then a week.

Firstly, I notice they changed the opening credits, with the addition of Mary McCormack to the ranks of the staffers, but im most happy that Donna and the Janney are in there.

I don't understand why will bailey is in the show anymore, he jumped ship and flew to the vice presidents office, why is he floating around the presidents ass still? the last VP, he didn't have his staff hanging around all the time?

Dads Birthday - 60 years old

So it was Dad's Birthday yesterday. I almost half forgot...works been insanely busy, so i just forgot about it, and didnt really have a chance to organise to get anything. FML.

I ended up going in with Adam and Mum on a DVD Recorder with a HDD. 'Cause he is stupidly in love with his grand prix's he has to tape them all, and then never watch them again...*cough* and im the one looked at cause i buy TV shows on DVD...whatever :P

We were going to have dinner down at the Hard Rock Cafe in Cronulla, but dad wasn't really up for going out for dinner, and having to wait for a while to get food - plus with mily it would be difficult. My plan wa that i was going to pay for dinner. but whateves.

I was going to leave work at the earliest i could, which as it was working out, was about 6pm. Which would have meant i wouldnt have been home till about 7pm. Which was just not going to stand with Mum. I was in the shit of the serious variety cause i suggested that if she had to eat, that Emily could eat beforehand. oooh that didnt go down really well. Oh Well.

Got dad a little more the pissed that night, and we all laughed and had a good time.

Indian Party

My American friends parents (well Mum and Stepdad) arrived last week from South Carolina (yeah, same place as that unfortunate girl). My indian friends parents are hosting a lazy sunday afternoon party for them. In indian dress.

For those that aren't in Sydney, the weather was sweltering. we were going to be sitting in the backyard at a BBQ. good times.


Care's mum was great. So open and kind. i hope i see her again. and Ron, haha Ron was all kinds of funny. but i think he was drunk.


So we were all there in Indian dress. i couldnt hack it half way through, and changed to shorts and a tshirt. Food was great, and Aneeta's parents and family were so nice.
