Calls to not Sponsor Kyle and Jackie-O show on 2DayFM
There are calls within the advertising industry NOT to sponsor the Kyle and Jackie-O show on 2dayFM. Story here. They are putting aside the whole thing about the rape comment, and the mother being a mole. They are looking at it from the point of view, that a group of adults thought it would be a good idea to put a minor on a polygraph test on live radio.
Which is basically it ay, why did they put the girl on in the first place? Even if they didn't know about the rape, surely they should have seriously questioned the mother/daughter extensively first as, bugger me, there should have been some sort of red light blinking as to the motivation of why the mother would WANT to air her families dirty laundry on live radio.

The show I'm anticipating the most this Fall season?
With the Summer shows slowly drawing to a close, the official ramp up of promos around the Fall schedule are coming in thick and fast.
Yes ladies and gentlemen of the internets, its coming upon us shortly, the fall schedule, and not to sound like Big Kev, I'm really excited what it will bring.
What intrigues me is the options the networks are going for, Glee for example with Fox. They did a 'test' screening back in...May? was it? anyway, they screened it a couple months ago, and only a couple of weeks ago on Ch10 in Australia. I guess it was to gauge hype around the show, to see if it would actually be a goer, or if it was going to knock out a couple shows and then people would get jack of it, and toss it to one side.
I'm pleased to say that it did get a whole season, and I can't wait till Sept 9 for it to air - only problem for me, I'm going to be in Fiji!
Coming back, that I really can't wait for, Bones, Heroes, Gossip Girl, Greys Anatomy (*sigh*, poor George)

In Plain Sight
Because i clearly couldnt get enough of my west wing connection, i came across a copy of the first season of In Plain Sight, staring Mary McCormack from obviously, the west wing.
I think the show is pretty interesting, although a little 'grrr' that since its cable, that the seasons are only 12 episodes long. It follows the life of a Federal Marshal (Mary Shannon) while she protects her various witnesses.
The show is pretty interesting as its not just a regular cop show, its about the witness protection program. And this is pretty much the only show that focuses on the program, so its an insight on how that whole thing works.
Its currently running its 2nd season on the USA network. If you manage to get your hands on it, i think its def. worth a watch.

The West Wing
I finally finished the 6th Season of TWW, and i remembered why i began to love it in the first place. It's great writing and believable characters. It's great.
And like any other obsessed geek, i couldnt help but geek out and watch the first couple of eps from the new (well new to me) season.
I really liked the flash forward they did, showing the team all back together 3 years in the future, but it was a little bit of a shame to not see Sam, I know he had a bit of a fallout with Aaron or whatever, but it would have been nice to see him there for some sort of consistency. But I really like where the show is going, although slightly predictable. However that might be somewhat influenced by the DVD set I had of the 7th season sitting in my shelf, that showed that Jimmy was going to be in the new season.
I have my doubts though with regards to the pick for the Vice President they have chosen to go with Santos. Is Leo's heart going to be able to hold out? he was having some serious issues with it.
But you have to think, if Leo has the potential to be in the White House again, what is going to happen with the current staff? Isn't the people that he have worked with for the last 7 years going to want to stick by him, cause they would all know him? right?
I think I might go and check out the newish White House website, from last time i was there, it was pretty cool, laid out pretty well, and I even managed to subscribe to a couple of the RSS feeds they have going.

Train FAIL
I got on the train this evening after a long day at work. I napped a little on the way home, all was good cause I woke up well before my stop. Cause I had time I pulled out the iPod touch and began to play a game. I played past my stop. FML.

Fast and Furious
So what had potential to be a really cool movie, turned out to be half lame, half cool.It was almost the same plotline as the first movie? WTF? But what was nice for me, was how it fit into the story. It was somewhere between "2 Fast 2 Furious" and Tokyo Drift, cause Hann was in it, and well we all know that he died in Tokyo Drift (sorry if you didn't, but its your own fault)
I was happy that Jordana Brewster and the rest of the cast were back, and THANK GOD that man face wasn't there the whole movie.
It was all kinds of bland, and going no where, but really I didn't have too much high hopes for it. But I did like the kick back to Hann from Tokyo Drift, and it made me laugh that they basically just forgot about Toyko Drift, not to mention they killed off the cast bar 3.

Dragonball Evolution
Sitting down to watch this this evening , the first thing that i can think of is that this is going to be shit compared to the cartoon show, or Anime if you will.
Don't get me wrong, i have some high hopes, but im not sold on it.
The opening title sequence was pretty cool, setting the movie but then when they come out with the line 'First rule is, there are no rules' WTF children, are we seriously trying to pitch this as Fight Club? Don't even try. Now its just got me annoyed.
Forgive me on my ignorance on all things Dragonball, but Goku wasn't....American? hahaha
AWWW its Samurai Girl! She is playing Chi Chi, that's kinda cool, and LOL Piccolo is played by non other then the lame ass Vampire Spike - James Masters.
When the movie ended, I was feeling torn. Torn because it was a REALLY shit movie, the acting was bad, and the storyline was kinda shit, and seriously thinkin' that it would be great if they didn't make a new movie. But then on the other hand, i enjoyed it because of what it was, and the special effects were awesome. Not to mention, i want to see what they do with the other characters, it would be awesome to see what they did with Gohan and Trunks.

Black Eyed Peas - Boom Boom Pow
I'm not entirely sure how i feel about the latest song by the Black Eyed Peas:
Titled Boom Boom Pow, its all electronicy, and im just not sure that I buy it all that much.
Although i do kinda like the fergie's 'Im so 3008, your so 2000 and late' haha rapping for nothing. You've gotta love that.

Twilight...a little disapointing actually
So, I watched twilight tonight. Ok, I can *kinda* get the thing with the loving of it and stuff, but really, where was the plot? Was the book this pointless? Haha I hope not.
I’m intending on buying the book to read it, and see if it’s as pointless as the movie, and non plot developing as the movie.
I didn’t really have high hopes for the movie, but I expected it to have some sort of plot and story behind it? All they did was establish the characters, explain that there was an immediate and strong love connection between them, and then they played baseball and killed another bad vampire. WTF? I realise that it’s a tween fiction book, but BOO!!! It didn’t need to have that much bore. What about Harry potter? That was a tween fiction novel, and it had actual purpose.
I think they could have gotten into the story a little quicker, and expanded on the whole relationship of them and then the what could have been epic fight towards the end, but no, they went on and on about the shit at the start with the “he’s there, then he’s not” crap. It was a little more than boring.

You can't stop the signal....or apparently you can
It took about 2 -2.5 hours to get home tonight. There was a signal failure at Sutherland station, so there was no moving the trains in front of the one i was in.
Due to the failure, there was a bankup of about 5 trains in front of the one i was in. The most infuriating thing about the trains was that i was getting off at Sutho, and i was soooooo close.
It wouldnt have been so bad if i'd parked at Janalli, or it was walking distance, but it was also pouring with rain at the time. Wasnt going to walk in that regardless. Haha.
Earlier that night (while at work) i'd copied 2 eps of Desperate housewives that i hadn't seen yet to my ipod to watch on the train home. Good thing i had enough charge!

Why no power Sydney?
It was something like 450pm in Sydney and the power went out in my building at work. not cool Sydney.
The lights went out, and everyones work that wasn't on a laptop was lost. so boring. But at least the power is backup sadly the servers are still un-connectable. laaaame.
Its apparently working yet, its 1030...so...it can wait till the morning?

Harry Potter - Half Blood Prince
The new Movie poster for the upcoming Harry Potter movie is up, and doesn't it look interesting? or not...WTF are they doing? It's a shitty metro station, with Daily Prophet newspapers floating around. And the photo of Harry looks like it was taken from the promo stills of the Azkaban film.
I have no doubt that the movie will be all kinds of sweet as action and witchery, but srsly, they need to lift their game on the promo shots.

Personal Hygiene
I know it, you know it, we allllllll know it, so why are there sooooo many people that just smell? In public? i get that there are some problems that people have, but then you know there are ways and means that you can control that.
So how come the rules change when you get in a cab, or on a train? (and i assume a bus too, but i dont have to take the bus)
I got a cab home tonight, worked back late. The man was nice and all, but hollllllly shit it was just overpowering, the BO that was eminating from the driver, it was a couple of smells past rank.
I felbad, cause he was a really nice guy, but WOAH!
